Halloween costume Climb at Rumney !!

Saturday night at the campground wear a costume! if you want to wear one while climbing that's fine also.

this will be Halloween themed. I say we go back to our "more youthful" days and participate in candy apples, sugar doughnuts on a stick (where you can't use your hands to eat them) and other fun Halloween oriented things.

POST some ideas....

Equipment: climbing and camping gear. tent sleeping bag (nights will be cold) Clothing suitable for variable weather.

Camping: we'll be staying at Rattlesnake Mtn Campground. $12.00 per person per night.

Dinner: HMMMMM what will the caldron boil and simmer, bring something, share something, and eat hearty.

if you are driving up on friday we'll meet at the campground.

those that are coming up saturday morning, we'll meet at the PAY STATION picnic table in the main parking lot.

directions: 93north to exit 26 (rt 25west) follow rt25 to the rotary stay on rt25 and pass the polar caves on the left. stay on rt25 till you see the sign for rumney village. take that right onto Main street(double blinking yellow lights) follow main st. over the bridge and take that left at Buffalo rd.(white church) follow buffalo rd to the parking lot to rumney climbing on the right.     for gps use 415 buffalo rd. rumney nh.

Since it's looking like rain tonight, I'm going to drive up saturday morning. I'm shooting to make it by 9 to meet the group, but in case I don't (and also for any other stragglers), could someone with a smartphone post a comment on this thread of what crag people are going to once that's decided? Thanks!

@susan. as for cooking, there is the fire pit which i have a grill for, second if you want to bring or get a portable stove thats fine also. some will have camp stoves or backpacking stoves alos. but for the most part there is the fire when cooking. and we have cooked almost anything you could think of on the fire. so bring what you feel you will need. even if you dont need it atlease you'll have it if needed. as for the crag we're going to climb at I'm not sure yet.

This is my first time camping so I won't have any real camping gear besides sleeping stuff (borrowing a sleeping bag and seeing if I can get a tent). I'm not familiar with what type of cooking will be available. Grill? Portable stovetop (oh, I might be able to borrow one)? Pot on a fire? Just trying to figure out what I can bring to cook/eat. Thanks in advance.

I'm planning on driving up on Sat morning. Which crag are you planning to start at if I miss the group at the parking lot? I went for the first time a couple weeks ago, but didn't camp and missed the group.
