I’ve talked to Scott…the new manager at Airport Kennel. We are still welcome to keep meetup as it has always been….the only two things that have changed are ...I may be wrong about this change….I don’t think he going to charge us rent! I’ll be talking to him more about this on Saturday. The only other change is ....All dogs over six months old must be spayed or neutered (I think only a couple of you are affect by this change…I’m sorry… but that is the new rule…We did not make this rule the new kennel manger did.)
If he does not charge us rent I think we could drop the meetup fee to two dollars for each dog attending. This would more than cover the cost of the website…and we would still have money left over to donate to BTRNC at times.
Now that I’ve said we could drop the price… I’m going to ask if you would be willing to give an extra dollar or two on Saturday for a little Boston puppy that was abused by his owner. (See below) the rescue group is trying to raise money to help pay for this little guy’s surgeries…it is sad to even think that some would do this!!!! We have $78.00 dollars in our kitty now...if you agree I would like for us to donate this money and any money we take in Saturday to help with this little guy.
Okay...I think that is all for now. After I talk a little more to the new manager at the kennel Saturday… I’ll know for sure if we have to pay rent...or not…I’ll let you know more when I know for sure.
I know I am always asking for donations for one thing or another, but I'm going to ask again anyway. The amazing staff at All Saints Animal Hospital in Hendersonville have rescued a 4 month old Boston Terrier puppy. He was beaten with a 2x4. He has a fractured pelvis and 3 broken bones in his leg. He will need at least three surgeries.
If you can help through a small contribution to offset the cost of this $3,600 series of surgeries, I know that they would be grateful. Dr. Kevin McKisson and his staff are tremendous supporters of rescue groups . Please forward this to anyone you think may be able to help.
Thanks so much for always opening your hearts and your wallets!
PS: If you have a few extra dollars and want to make a donation on your own call All Saints and tell them you want to help with the Boston puppy. Their number is[masked]-1717.
