Hi Everybody I thought I would share with you the story of Dixie's big adventure last night.
Dixie introduced John to the new neighbors
It is always something with our wild girl. Last night around 9:00pm John took the trash out ….the gate latch did not catch. Dixie saw this as her opportunity to meet some new people. Dixie loves to play a game she thinks of as… “Catch me if you can…..sorry you miss me…try again” John chased her around the neighborhood for a while …not having any luck catching her. Then Dixie sees a garage door that is open…she runs in. Then she sees that the door to the inside of the house is also open… she goes right inside. John quickly closed her up inside the people’s house. Then he knocks on the door, the man that came to the door has a very confused look on his face…. John says “Is my dog in your house”.
It was chaos inside ….the family is in their PJ’s ready for bed….the kids are standing on the sofa screaming…with Dixie trying to give them big wet kisses….then she would jump off their sofa run around the living room and kitchen … playing her game … “Catch me if you can…..sorry you miss me…try again” Dixie is having a wonderful time…she is one very happy camper! What a shock this must have been for that family to have a dog come from nowhere into your house like that. John…needless to say was very embarrassed by our little wild girl. I missed the whole thing …I was in the shower when all this was going on…I think I’m glad I did not get to meet the new neighbors. I may bake...I mean…buy some cookies for them today to let them know this will not happen again. Then on second thought… I may never let them know I’m other person that is owned by that wild and crazy dog.
Oh well… John did get to meet the new neighbors….John can’t remember their names…but I bet they will remember John and Dixie. Ollie and Cliffie did not even think about going out that gate. Sadie has ever gone out of the yard ...even when she has had the chance. I don’t think Bud would go out of the yard either. For Dixie life is just a big adventure ….she will try anything at least one.
PS: I don’t think the kids were afraid of Dixie….She loves kids ...so she is a little too enthusiastic about it. She was just giving way too many kisses!
