Re: [boston-web] Seeking recommendation for 'beginner' sites and design excellence sites.

I am trying to find reference material (ideally on-line or a book) for students just learning
basic web site design and code. Any suggestions appreciated.

I really like new channel9 html5 & css tutorials . They have javascript tutorials as well.

In addition, does anyone have recommendations for excellence in website design?

Depends on what an excellence is. Great design I guess? If yes, there are general design rules that you can follow.

Here's some bits fo you:

Great tutorials on Lynda, but I also like the free ones available on The New Boston website.
