A few people have asked me where they can take plant related classes or workshops along the front range. I wanted to list a few sources here, and invite other people to add their own ideas of where people can take plant related classes. Please feel free to continue to add to this discussion, and if there are specific classes that people might be interested in, let me know and I will set up a meetup!
Thanks!!
Karin

-CoNPS (Colorado Native Plant Society) - http://www.conps.org/... - there are several chapters that hold regular meetings/presentations. They also have special workshops which are excellent, but fill up fast. In general, great group!!

-Native Plant Master (CSU extension service) - http://www.extension.... - several counties participate in this program including Jeffco and Boulder. You don't have to be part of the program to take their classes and workshops. The classes are excellent and taught by experienced botanists. I highly recommend these! If you have questions about becoming a certified native plant master, let me know and I will try to give you some info. I am working on getting my certification this year.

-Denver Botanic Gardens - http://www.botanicgar... - they have a number of cool programs including CafĂ© Botanique, lectures, classes, and botanical illustration!

-Colorado Weed Network - https://sites.google.... - If you're interested in weed management news along the front range, this is a great meeting to go to. You'll see lots of familiar faces because the meeting is well attended by local open space managers and volunteers.

Denise brought this to my attention. The CoNPS has a webpage of plant lists from across the state and some surrounding states. If you are planning a trip to one of these places, check out the plant list so you know what to expect before you get there.
