Mongo Meetup: Round 2

A former member
It's going to be hard to top the social atmosphere of our first Mongo Meetup, but with a little more preparation and planning, we have some really excited things in the works for this month's Mongo Meetup Group! This month we will have amazing food catered by Biker Jims, we'll play some corn hole, and have a few beers! We also have some books, shirts, and stickers to give away! Make sure to thank @10gen, @arraecreative, @justicefries and @bikerjimsdogs for making this month's event possible!

Mongo "Show and Tell" and Breakout Groups

For this next meetup, we're going to try a new tactic with MongoDB "Show and Tell." We want users to talk about their experiences with MongoDB in the real world, and collaborate openly about challenges; allowing the crowd to help solve any problems or ask questions about the challenges faced. We invite you to come with a flash drive or computer and plug in to the big screen and showcase your code, architecture, challenge, whatever it may be! We officially have two more open slots for roughly 10-20 minutes each, so please reply if you're interested in speaking, but note that we may also be able to work more in if you can present in under 5 minutes.

After the Show and Tell collaboration, we'll identify the technologies and level of experience in the room, so that we can split up into smaller groups and further meet and discuss our experiences with MongoDB and how we implement Mongo with our respective languages. This will also be a great opportunity to allow recruiters to connect with job seekers and contractors so that we all have a great take-away from this event. If there are any members that would like to lead the discussion of one of these technology groups (we have leaders for PHP and NodeJS but would welcome more) please simply reply and identify your language of choice and experience with MongoDB or show up early and track me down so we can give you a loose discussion guide for your group.
