A Special "Show and Tell" Boulder Creative Commons

This location is shown only to members

Hey there,

It's been awhile, huh? Slice of Lime is getting Boulder Creative Commons going again for 2009 - this time with some new formats and sponsors.

We'd like to welcome Boulder Digital Arts as a sponsor to our event. They'll not only be helping out with supplying the micro-brews, but they'll also be lending us some of their talent to teach some micro-classes in various design and web applications and languages.

This month's format will be "Show and Tell."

On top of the usual fun conversation over beers and munchies, we're proud to announce our presenters for the "Show and Tell" portion of our Meetup group this coming Monday:

Jan Kabili
Senior Trainer & Evangelist
lynda.com, Inc.

Jan is a senior trainer at lynda.com, where she authors Photoshop and other digital imaging courses and runs the Boulder office of the company. Prepare for some cool advanced Photoshop techniques at Jan's show and tell

Don Powell
Panache Cyclewear

Don will be presenting his experience working at Panache Cyclewear. Panache focuses on aerodynamic improvements, absolute rider comfort, and engineering that enhances physiologic performance. Should be cool!

Jay Ferracane
Creative Director
Solutionset

Jay will be presenting his thoughts on staying inspired while being isolated ( relatively).

We hope to see you there!

As usual, you can expect good conversation amongst creatives (that includes you, programmers, you're creative, too!) and munchies and beer.

We look forward to seeing you at the end of the month!

I loved the new format with "show and tells."

Not sure what the technical problems were, but once they were ironed out the presentations were interesting.
  • Jan Kabili
Enjoyed the presentations. Terrific location. Interesting people.

The hosts were very hospitable. The location is fun and the Show and Tells were very interesting. I'm a Photographer and Photoshop user, not shooting RAW so I appreciated the insight to that. I work at home and appreciated the tips on how to stay connected in the Graphic Design World and in the creative process. I'm not a cyclist, however, I'm will be ordering a Panache T-shirt and do what I can to help move the company forward. It was great to see their brand process and I wish them only the best in their endeavor. Thanks to everyone for coordinating this.

This was a lot of fun - great food, the presentations were interesting and just the right length, and it was good to get a bunch of creatives together in one room. Plus Slice of Lime's studio is awesome! Thanks Kevin!

Thank for putting it together! Was a good mix of presenters, a bit of technical and a bit of insight. Perfect!
