Boulder Spanish Meetup! Message Board › Photo or Document uploads (it can be done!)
Amigas y amigos:
I've received many inquiries from our members about how to upload photos. I investigated it with Meetup and here is the response.
The net-net on photos is that you can upload photos to album "Boulder Spanish Meetup Misc Photos" or to any specific meetup event. See #2 below for details.
Thanks for writing in!
"1) Can we upload a few documents that the other members of a particular group would be able to access and download? These would be Word or Excel spreadsheets."
You can share files on your Meetup Group home page :-) So can your members!
To do so, navigate to the Meetup Group, hover over 'More' and then click on 'Files.' Then click 'Add a File' to select the file from your computer.
You'll have the option to designate who is able to view the file - you can choose "Anyone," "Only members of the group," or "Only the Leadership Team" (i.e. Organizer, Co-Organizers, and Assistant Organizers).
Please note, each individual file can be up to 10 MB, and there is a maximum of 100 MB of files per Meetup Group.
"2) I am able to upload photos as an organizer but our members constantly have trouble and are frustrated. Can't they just upload some photos into or general location within our group (or attached to a meetup in particular?) I can see where they are coming from as there is no direction from their accounts."
Members can upload photos to individual albums that already exist or to Meetup "events." However, a member cannot create a new photo album, and this may be where some of the confusion is coming in.
Here are the member instructions on uploading photos to a group:
They can also add photos to individual Meetup "events."
If members are trying to add photos to an album that does not exist, they will be unable to!
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further questions.
