The NB Delaware Running and Walking Group welcomes runners and walkers to join us each week. This meetup is for anyone looking to get fit, meet new people, and have some fun while enjoying the outdoors. Our group is a mix of walkers, beginner runners, and runners looking to stay in shape, as well as, runners that race competitively. Looking to train for your first 5k or half marathon? We can help you with that too!
Our group is organized by local New Balance Brandywine owner and Store Manager, Jamie Graham. Jamie is a Certified Pedorthist here in Delaware and enjoys staying active whether its walking or jogging. At each meetup we introduce everyone and then will group everyone by goals or pace, so no one is left alone for their first venture on the trails.
Spring - Fall (March thru October) Monday nights we meet at Smith Bridge Parking lot at 6pm. This is located on Creek Rd. between the Smith Covered Bridge and Ramseys Farm.
Winter (November thru February) Mondays nights at 5:45pm we meet at the New Balance Brandywine Store. The running group is organized by Jamie and we will split into groups based on pace and goals. We will stay together running along Naamans Rd and into the Brandywine Hunt Development which is lit. Please wear your reflective gear and dress appropiately.
The walking group is led by Store Owner, John Strojny. Walkers will use the lit and well marked path infront of the Brandywine Town Center. This path is not far from the store and parking is close. Please contact John is you plan on attending - firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thursday nights we will meet at Delcastle Recreation Park near the tennis courts at 6pm for a run or walk. NBDRC organizer, Jamie Graham will lead the walkers and Pike Creek Valley Run Club Members: Darlise, Kelly, Claire, and Ray will lead the runners. www.pcvrc.com
