Fri night bridge

Friday  night bridge.

Jason's Deli is the new location we're trying.  It is in Brier Creek, north of Glenwood Rte70, near the Barnes&Noble.  Other landmarks are about half way between Dick's Sporting Goods and the movie theater. If you see Red Robin, Walmart, or Panera Bread then you're on the wrong side of Rte70.

We are switching to Jason's Deli because it stays open until 10:00 pm.  You do not have to stay until 10:00 pm ... you can come and go when you want.

I do not know if Meetup's "the bag of cards" will show up, so each attendee should bring one deck.

See you there!

I am just too tired to come and play. Jay has had surgery every other day since 1/26 but I think he has had next to the last one but don't know when that one will take place. It appears that, for the moment, he will be able to keep both legs below the knee so that will be great. They did extensive skin grafts yesterday from his thighs and they are very painful today. I have been getting up there by 6:00-6:30 a.m. so I can be there when the doctors make their morning rounds and not getting to bed before midnight and getting up at 4:45 a.m. so sleep has not been a past time for me lately. The dogs require some care and I can't ignore them. Sheila, his fiancé is a God send and has spent every night at the hospital with him. Renee Chou with WRAL did an extensive interview with him today and we think it will air sometime between 5 & 6:30 p.m. on Monday 2/10 but not sure of date.

Hi Martha Ann, I'm sorry this is so impossibly tough and exhausting for Jay, Sheila, Jeff, you, and all in your extended family. We are thinking of you and look forward to the day when playing Bridge will be fun for you again. Cathy and I are back from our long weekend, so please let us know if we can help in any way at all.

Thank you so much Will. I really appreciated you coming and staying during one of Jay's many surgeries. It was a comfort having you there. We are hoping that Monday will be the last of surgeries and it may not have to happen. They are going to take the vacuum pumps off his stumps and if all is good then no surgery but if not then there will be yet another surgery but do not think that it will be a long one. It is fairly certain now that he will be able to keep both leg amputations below the knees which means a much better outlook for the prostheses.
