Dinner and Topic: Beyond Biology--The Quest for Human Enhancement

At 6:30 we'll begin gathering for casual conversation.

At 7:30 Ambrose from RRNA will lead a presentation and discussion titled Beyond Biology-The Quest for Human Enhancement.  This is a discussion about cyborgs and biohacking, nootropics and electronic implants, the search for immortality and superhuman intelligence. Above all it is a critical, humanist look into the quest to transcend the limits of human biology through technological means, with an emphasis on the socially disruptive potential of emerging technologies, such as how they can change the way we view and define disability and 'human nature', and whether they will further democratize participation in science or increase social stratification.

Dinner OK but the talk and discussion was quite interesting.

Ambrose offered fascinating material, fielded our questions, and shared intriguing opinions. The discussion was smart, as usual. Thanks, Ambrose and all!
