Doing Non-theism your own way!

Can non-theists avoid dogma?  Can we each find our own unique way?  What are the advantages and disadvantages of identifying with various non-believer movements?

Overall it was ok, but as I hoped it would be more about "your way" on an all day level, it went more in the direction of the larger society structures. But that was ok. At least it was interesting anyway.

I enjoy wonder a lot and question many things; is that dogma or simply an attitude?

You see it in religious communities just the same. People adapt to the atmosphere of their social (religious group). They need them to survive, physically and socially. For most of them is the socialization process ended at becoming an adult. One needs power than to leave it all behind.

I heard about a Dutch woman. Very alternative and progressive. She married an American in Alaska. Quide quick she changed her attitude to very conservative, just like her husband and his community. And learned to be very convincing in her beliefs. Her free thinking was gone within a year. One has to have guts to stay with your free thinking.

    Well, let's start a conversation:
I'm not sure who formulated the theme of coming meetup, but preliminairy I'm quite curious, what is meant here by "non-theism". What is the definition of it. How can I talk about something of which I'm not sure about what the theme really means.

Perfect. What else can it be if you really are a non-theist.
