MOVIE - "I, FRANKENSTEIN" @ CINEPLEX SOUTH BANK
DATE/TIME - Wednesday, 26th March 2014 @ 7:00pm (for 7:25pm session)
TRAILER - CLICK HERE
RSVPs - CLICK HERE
SYNOPSIS - Frankenstein's creature finds himself caught in an all-out, centuries old war between two immortal clans. This sounds like classic Universal horror meets the Underworld franchise for a reason: the source material is a graphic novel created by Kevin Grevioux, who co-wrote the story that introduced us to the vampire warrior, Selene. Aaron Eckhart plays Dr. Frankenstein's creation, who has survived into modern times due to a genetic anomaly, but more exciting is the notion of Bill Nighy playing a demon-army leader!
CAST - Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, Miranda Otto
GENRES - Action | Fantasy | Sci-Fi
CLASSIFICATION - PG13+ (Intense fantasy action and violence, frightening themes)
DURATION - 1hr 33mins
MEETING TIME - 7.00pm
SCREENING TIME - 7.25pm
EVENT HOST - Mark (Mobile:[masked])
WHERE TO MEET - The group will gather in the cinema's upstairs Coffee Lounge area at 7:00pm, then head into the cinema at about 7:20pm. The Coffee Lounge bar serves a nice range of food and drinks.
TICKETS - To avoid the box office stampede, it's recommended that you buy your ticket online. NOTE: Cineplex's online booking system often gets a 'ghost in the machine'. It can tell you that a session is sold-out, when it's actually 90% empty! If you can't buy your ticket online, simply buy one at the box office. It's extremely rare for a mid-week session to sell out.
DINNER & DRINKS AFTERWARDS - If anyone would like to join us for dinner & drinks after the movie, we'll gather in the Coffee Lounge after the movie and make our way from there. There are lots of nice places to eat near the cinema. Save Mark's contact number, just in case you have trouble finding the group: [masked] 542.
*** Please regroup in the Coffee Lounge after the movie ***
$2 COIN CONTRIBUTION - Please give this to the Event Host (Mark) - it helps cover our ongoing Meetup.com fees. Thanks so much!
PUBLIC TRANSPORT - Public transport to the cinema is very convenient. Please CLICK HERE for further information.
FREE PARKING - Be sure to allow extra time if you're using the cinema's underground carpark, as it's often very busy. While there are usually plenty of spaces available, if the carpark is full the machine will only allow you in when a car leaves the carpark. This can mean a wait before gaining access. Parking is free for cinema patrons up to 4 hours, and is accessible via Ernest St, close to the Grey St intersection. Remember to have your parking ticket validated at the box office when you leave the cinema. IMPORTANT! - Be careful not to exceed the 4-hour parking limit, as a hefty $35 penalty applies!
