DINNER - 5:30pm onwards @ GRILL'D restaurant

MOVIE - 6:30pm (for 6:45pm session) @ CINEMA'S UPSTAIRS COFFEE LOUNGE

SYNOPSIS - Seth MacFarlane directs, produces, co-writes and plays the role of the sheep farmer in A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST. The film also stars Charlize Theron, Christopher Lloyd, Amanda Seyfried, Sarah Silverman, Liam Neeson, Giovanni Ribisi and Neil Patrick Harris.

MacFarlane reunites many of the filmmakers behind the hit comedy TED including Scott Stuber and Jason Clark who produced, and Wellesley Wild and Alec Sulkin who co-wrote the script.

After a cowardly sheep farmer backs out of a gunfight, his fickle girlfriend leaves him for another man. When a mysterious and beautiful woman rides into town, she helps him find his courage and they begin to fall in love. But when her husband, a notorious outlaw, arrives seeking revenge, the farmer must put his newfound courage to the test

WHERE TO MEET - We'll gather in the cinema's upstairs Coffee Lounge at 6:30pm (for the 6:45pm session)

TICKETS - It may be very busy at the box office, so it's recommended that you buy your ticket online to collect from the ATM in the cinema foyer.

DRINKS/DINNER BEFOREHAND - Everyone is warmly invited to join us for drinks/dinner before the movie. We'll gather at GRILL'D restaurant (only a few doors down from the cinema) from 5:30pm onwards. Save AJ's contact number, just in case you have trouble finding the group:[masked] 653.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT - Public transport to the cinema is very convenient. Please CLICK HERE for further information.

FREE PARKING FOR UP TO 4 HOURS - Be sure to allow extra time if you're using the cinema's underground carpark, as it's often very busy. While there are usually plenty of spaces available, if the carpark is full the machine will only allow you in when a car leaves the carpark. This can mean a wait before gaining access. Parking is free for cinema patrons up to 4 hours, and is accessible via Ernest St, close to the Grey St intersection. Remember to have your parking ticket validated at the box office when you leave the cinema. IMPORTANT! - Be careful not to exceed the 4-hour parking limit, as a hefty $35 penalty applies!

Google image details of the cinema's underground carpark entrance are available at the following web address:

$3 UNLIMITED PARKING AFTER 4:00PM - If you'd like to park for more than 4 hours your best option is to use SECURE PARKING, which is located just a short walk from the cinemas, opposite the Convention Centre. Entrances are available on both Cordelia St and Merivale St.

If you park after 4:00pm you will receive parking for a flat rate of $3. Your parking ticket must be validated at the cinema's box office as you leave the cinema complex to receive the discount.

$2 CONTRIBUTION - It would be sincerely appreciated if members could contribute a $2 coin at the event to help cover our group's ongoing fees. Guests of members don't need to contribute. Please give your coin to the Event Host. Thanks so much!

Had a lovely time. Dinner beforehand at Grilled was entertaining, just about as good as the movie. Lots of fun which kept up afterwards at the chocolate cafe, but got an awful stomach ache after having too much of that fabulous choccie, cream, waffles, strawberries, hot chocolate ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I reckon it was beaut. Burgers to begin with and three rows of ratbags making a mess at the back of Cinema 1. Nice to catch up with some new folk and recent friends. The Irish say "there are no strangers - only friends you have never met..."
