This group initially formed in early 2011 to introduce the game of Classic Dungeons and Dragons to new adventurers.
We hold Sunday afternoon sessions of DND for beginners, casual and experienced (a.k.a addicted) players.
We have played old school Basic, 1st ed D&D, 2nd ed AD&D, 4th ed D&D as well as Call of Cthulhu BRP and other alternative RPGs. We like to encourage players of all ages to learn table-top, face-to-face versions of one of the greatest and oldest role-playing games of all time. Dungeons & Dragons!
We also hold board gaming sessions on the last Sunday of every month.
We can supply new adventurers with all materials required.
Though if you plan on continuing gaming with us, a set of 7 polyhedral dice (D20, D12, D10%, D10, D8, D6, D4), some sharpened 2B pencils and an eraser will come in handy.
Looking to DM a Game?
Casual DMs may host a session or two at our discretion, please read our Dungeon Masters Guide and Code of Conduct then contact an organiser if you wish to run a game.Classic D&D preferred, though other editions and game systems may be played. We usually only play alternative RPGs on the last Sunday of the month.
To become a permanent DM within this group, the organisers need to be confident in your abilities to run the game system within their requirements and also need to find a suitable time in our schedule to run your game.
What Games are Available?
The host/DM of each session is responsible for advising which game he is running, how many players he can accommodate in his game and whether the game is open to new players or not. Some games may advise 'Existing Players Only/Adults Only/New Players Welcome' etc but you are always welcome to contact the host/DM for further information.
RSVP always! If you can't make it to a game, change your RSVP from GOING to NOT GOING, either so someone else can take your place and/or the DM can plan his game without your character. No Shows will be recorded if no notice is given.
Skully frowns upon No Shows!
Gold coin donations are welcome, but optional!
We do provide tea and coffee, sometimes cordial and usually some kind of snack for the coffee cart but you are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks or bring something to share with all.
We don't want to lose our gaming venue!
Noise and foul language to be kept to a minimum.
Please keep the room tidy by picking up any crumbs, cleaning up spills. You are responsible for your own mess and please take care with drinks around the gaming table, DND manuals, maps and boardgames cost a LOT to replace!
