Anime Screening - Carindale

More anime!

All welcome, no fee's.

This is fairly casual meetup, anyone's welcome to come along, but please, we do watch series most of the time. I post what we're going to watch here, so go read up on the anime or watch some yourself.

Few things to note

 - The Library closes at 8pm

 - After 8pm there is no access to the rest of the library from the meeting rooms. Exit is through the fire escape door which is in the yellow car park area.

 - Parking at Carindale shopping centre does not close at night

I'll probably start off this meetup with the second episode of Space Dandy. Episodes are more or less stand alone packages of absolute nonsense.

We'll give Kyoukai no Kanata a go. Fantasy anime in modern like setting, lots of spirits and demons, high schoolers, demon hunters, magic. I've seen a couple of episodes before and I reckon its pretty good.

Also Witch Hunter Robin. Fairly slow paced but enjoyable anime in my opinion. It follows a group of "detectives" dealing with all sorts of ESP wielding crazy persons. Its got a sort of dark European/light sci-fi setting.

Like I said the first meetup, I usually pick anime, we watch one or two episodes of it and then vote on whether we want to continue watching it. Seems the best way to do it since I'm the only one who knows roughly what anime I have. It takes much too much time to try and explain what a selection of anime is about. As if it isn't difficult enough to try and explain one anime series or film in detail most of the time :D

Meant to ask at the meetup, but has anybody got anything they want to do outside the screening meetups? Dinner? Bowling? Archery? Events coming up? Anyone can post up a meetup, I think. Or just let me know in the comments.

Starting to think name tags wouldn't be the worst idea for the meetups. might see if I can find some cheap ones that don't poke holes everywhere in clothes. AND FORCE PEOPLE TO WEAR THEM.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
