Would be good to do a trot to Bradford-on-Avon for lunch before the year is through, then we can meander back with a Christmas stop in Bath. Hopefully the weather will be kind enough to allow us this ride, we shall see closer to the time.
We'll be covering around 30 miles before lunch at a reasonable speed, flat along the railway line and then the tow path. This ride is more suitable for the 'skinny' bikes. You can do this on a mountain bike, however you will probably be tired and grumpy by the end, so inadvisable unless you replace your winter tyres for slicks.
Bring get-me-home lights; a spare inner tube (punctures are common on the tow-path); a pump; and lunch money. I will be wearing my helmet, I suggest you do too.
