Wish you a very Happy New Year. Here's another meetup for the Book Club.
Thanks for sending me many suggestions for books. I have picked three of them finding the availability in the library, in online bookstores and looking up on the reviews etc. The ones I couldnt add now I promise I will try to add to the list in the months to come
Heres a list of winter books and meeting dates
The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce- Feb 6th 5 30 pm
The Sense of An Ending by Julian Barnes- March 6th 5 30 pm
My Name Is Red by Orhan Pamuk- April 17th 5 30 pm (Date Tentative)
As usual please feel free to read the book in any language but the discussion will be mostly in English. For those who will be coming for the first time it would be great if you can read the book but even if you cant you are welcome to come and find out about it.
There would be coffee, tea and cookies :) to enjoy while we discuss the book.
Looking forward to see you there.
Keep sending me your suggestions of books for future meetups. Also, if anyone wants me to reserve books for the book club please me so I can inform the librarian. Else you can of course reserve on your own as you do otherwise.
