Dining Around the World Series, Bankock 54 Restaurant (Thai) Arlington, VA

PLEASE RSVP ONLY IF YOU ARE ATTENDING.  There are over a dozen ethnic restaurants in South Arlington along Columbia Pike.  It is not difficult to get there and parking can be found.  Also just a bus ride or short taxi ride from Pentagon City.  Let's talk theater - what you have seen and what you want to see.

Our first dining experience will be at Bangkok54 Restaurant and Bar.

The menu offers all the traditional Thai dishes and a few non-traditional ones as well. Moderately priced.  I've tried about dozen Thai restaurants in the DC area and Bangkok 54 is by far my favorite.  If you are not very adventurous or don't like spicy food, I would recommend the Bangkok 54 Fried Rice.  It is really good and it has just the right amount of spice to be different than your typical fried rice. If your threshold for hot foods is high, try the Papaya Salad as an appetizer.  It is delicious!  Save room for desert - there is quite a selection of interesting and delicious deserts!

Here is a list of my favorites that we will cover in our Dining Around the World series.  We will post one or two each month, mostly on week nights.

Sangam Restaurant (Indian), 3205 Columbia Pike

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
