I wanted to say thanks for a great discussion yesterday, and to talk about future books. Some suggestions we came up with or saw on the message boards were:
Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Anne Shaffer An Island Away by Daniel Putkowski Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen (already read but many members may have not been to that meeting) The Hour I First Believed by Wally Lamb
Descriptions are all available on Amazon. If I left any books out that were mentioned feel free to email and remind me.
Now's your chance! Please send me any suggestions you may have by Wednesday night. I will then put a poll up on Thursday. Considering the number of responses I get, not all books may make the poll.
Meet fellow book lovers as part of the Brookline Book Club. Everyone is welcome to join. The club will read a new book every month, with a focus on indie literature. Come vote on the book we will read. Winning authors will attend and lead our meetings
Come discuss the book of the month, laugh, share stories, and make new friends! We meet monthly (usually the last Sunday of the month) at 4 pm on Sunday at Bruegger's Coolidge Corner. Feel free to sign up if you see a book you like.
