Chinese style of Yoga is Qigong(chi-kung). Like Hatha Yoga but more circular and dynamic.
The meditation is SECULAR relaxation w/o bowing or religious terms. However you CAN use it for spiritual purposes.
The focus presently is on alleviating anxiety through various forms of meditation.The anti-anxiety focus embraces sytematic desensitization,visualization,aromatics and gentle effective herbs.
We DON'T use the esoteric form of chi-kung which claim to heal through ''mystical'' energy transmitted through the hands. We do not embrace supernatural or magical ideas of any sort. Asian mindful brushwork is also available.
Effective soft-hard self defense is part of our practice but this is an optional course.I am ethically opposed to a violent mindset and even martial arts competitions .
This is not a classic martial arts for tournaments but JKD Concepts based on
Tai-Chi-Chuan,Jujitsu,White Crane and Wing -Chun styles of kung-fu. This is for defense against rape,mugging -real attacks.Training for this neccessitates a good moral reason which is defense. This is NOT for sport but saving your life . One slowly builds strength and endurance without overdoing it. I do 15 pushups on the sides of my hands daily !
