This is a group for people who love great food, especially brunch! Together we'll explore the best brunch spots our city has to offer and hopefully we can make some new friends along the way. The number of brunchers attending range from 6 - 16 people.
Brunches that are scheduled early are restaurants that are small and do not take reservations. I have scheduled these either when the restaurant opens or 1/2 hour later. This is to prevent line-ups. Restaurants that are larger, accept reservations, will be scheduled either at 11:00am or later. I will schedule the odd 12:00 pm or later brunch and also High Tea events.
Please don't be discouraged by the long waiting lists for the Brunches. Quite often people change their RSVPs. So even if you are 8-12 people back two weeks before the event. Chances are good you will get in.
New members are allowed three brunches to try the group out. After that, please pay the yearly membership dues. This covers the meet up costs and all the time I spend with research, organizing, making reservations and maintaining the site. As of January 1, 2011, the fee will be increase to $ 7.00 per member. Once paid, you will have a title. For example, if you paid your dues in May 2010, your title will be " VBC May/11". This date is the date your membership is due again.
Even though there are over 500 members, there are less than 40 active members who attend brunches. Of that, not everyone has paid. To encourage yearly payment of dues, after three (3) free brunches, all members who have not paid, will be moved to the bottom of the "wait list" until payment has been received. If you are not sure if you have paid, please view your profile to see if you have a title underneath your name.
RVSP DEADLINE FOR ALL BRUNCHES IS TWENTY-FOUR (24) HOURS BEFORE THE EVENT.
