Straub Park, Downtown St Petersburg, by the Pier and Art Museum

When: Saturday October 6, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Program about 1:00 PM

Where: Under the two big banyan trees just north of the St Petersburg Museum of Art (about 335 Beach Drive).

Discussion and brainstorming about how we can best help the people of Burma.

Chanting of the Metta (Lovingkindness) Sutta in Pali and English -- 1:00 pm.

Not confrontational; not partisan political; just supporting the Burmese people and offering hope that a good resolution can be found.

Many people turned out or stopped by to demonstrate their support for the people of Burma. We passed out a lot of educational information while taling to passer-bys. Some chanted while others had a round circle discussion. Then everyone, about 60 people, got together on a large tarp to chant the loving kindnesss sutra.
