Buddhist Peace Fellowship Tampa Bay [masked] Burma/Tibet/China Forgiveness Gathering

In observation of the Global Day of Action for Burma (and for Tibet and the opening day of the Beijing Olympics) we would like to gather for an evening of meditation and interactive discussion of the practice of forgiveness. Over the last eight years our lives have been deeply impacted be the political misdeeds of our leaders and governments across the planet. BPFTB would like to observe The Global Day of Action for Burma with sitting meditation and discussion of political forgiveness. The evening would alternate between 30 minute periods of sitting meditation and reflections on explorations and possibility of forgiveness, the action itself and the benefits and the limitations.

As peaceworkers we need an opportunity to balance our lives and chillout with the blessing of forgiveness. Forgiveness and compassion are the ingredients that often absent in peace vigil and protest events. The format will be facilitated and group interactive, exploratory and open to ongoing developement. Please feel free to join us at BTDC.

Please consider bringing refreshments for after the sitting.

The Bidhi Tree Meditation Center is a nice peaceful place, lots of old books on Buddhism, and meditation cushions, square and round, and trees outside all around. It was cute to meditate with the dogs. We had a nice discussion.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
