The Buddhist Peace Fellowship would like you to help staff our table and mingel and enjoy yourself at:
This Year’s Theme: Vote Peacefully
37 Years of Creating Peace in our Community
Saturday, October 18 from 9 am to 4 pm Lake Vista Park
Corner of 16th Street South and 62nd Avenue South
St. Petersburg, Florida
A peace education fair in the Quaker Tradition, celebrating freedom, justice and creativity
Details (from a bpf-tampabay google group email):
Peter Crockett forwarded the C.M. press release & notes 'we're pretty close cousins to the Quakers, especially in seeking peace within and without.'
C.M. is quite an event -- definitely of interest to most bpf folks.
bpf-tb is now registered for a non-profit display table (no sales, but we can solicit donations)
As of October 5, we have 10 volunteers for table sitting -- more are welcome (committed in advance or just stopping by for a while).
We can definitely use more donations of Buddhist-related books, magazines, audio/video etc. They will be offered for free at C.M. with 'donations welcome' -- this has been a major source of bpf-tb income in past years. Contact Rick Ferriss [masked] / [masked]) for more info, or if you want to find a place to drop off some books before the event.
