Educate ourselves and the public on peace issues and the ongoing repression in Burma
When: Saturday, March 22, 2008 10 am- 2 pm
Where: Crescent Lake Park
There is a small trail which loops around the north end of the park which can be used for a silent march or walking meditation.
Zenrin Robert Lewis abbot of the Jacksonville Zen Sangha will be
participating along with Ayya Sudharshana and Bhante Tassi from CPP The
Burma Tibet Support Gathering.

Please join us in St Petersburg this Saturday to support the people of Burma and Tibet.
From 10:00 am to 2:00 pm we will gather at the north end of Crescent Lake Park, near 22nd Ave and 5th St. North.
Buddhist Peace Fellowship will host a table with literature and petitions. Come and talk about what we might do to help.
At 1:00 there will be a short program including guided lovingkindness meditation.
RAIN OR SHINE: if it rains, we will have the literature under a canopy, and will direct people who want to discuss to a local coffee shop. The meditation and chanting will be in the park about 1:00 regardless of weather.
This will a non-confrontational, non-partisan gathering in the spirit of the protests in Burma: "Love and kindness must win over everything." Everyone with an interest in peace is welcome.
This free event is sponsored by the Tampa Bay chapter of the Buddhist Peace Fellowship, an international organization that was founded in 1978, and now has chapters in 29 states and 11 countries. Members come from many different Buddhist traditions.
Who: Sponsored by the Tampa Bay chapter of the Buddhist Peace Fellowship. Everyone with an interest in peace and freedom in Burma and Tibet is welcome.
What: Meditation & chanting (1:00 pm) and information exchange in support of the struggles of the people of Burma and Tibet

Why: To raise awareness of the situations in Burma and Tibet, and express support for the people of those nations.
How: Literature and petitions, informal discussions. At 1:00 there will be a short program.

From I-275, take the exit at 22nd Ave North, and head East about 1-mile to the park.
