Friends:

Please join us in St Petersburg this Saturday to support the people of Burma and Tibet.

From 10:00 am to 2:00 pm we will gather at the north end of Crescent Lake Park, near 22nd Ave and 5th St. North.

Buddhist Peace Fellowship will host a table with literature and petitions. Come and talk about what we might do to help.

At 1:00 there will be a short program including guided lovingkindness meditation.

RAIN OR SHINE: if it rains, we will have the literature under a canopy, and will direct people who want to discuss to a local coffee shop. The meditation and chanting will be in the park about 1:00 regardless of weather.

This will a non-confrontational, non-partisan gathering in the spirit of the protests in Burma: "Love and kindness must win over everything." Everyone with an interest in peace is welcome.

This free event is sponsored by the Tampa Bay chapter of the Buddhist Peace Fellowship, an international organization that was founded in 1978, and now has chapters in 29 states and 11 countries. Members come from many different Buddhist traditions.
