Want to co-create an innovative Buddhist Center in Downtown D.C.? Come to our Friendship Archway Alliance networking events and connect with other Buddhists, spiritualists, community builders and other group representatives at our monthly 3rd Sundays events.

EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!

The first step is to get to know each other better to see if we are ready to work together harmoniously with appreciation, forgiveness and understanding. These monthly community events provide opportunities to develop more allies for the project and to connect with others interested in similar topics. Express your interest to the co-organizers and followup. 

WHEN: 12:30PM TO 2:30PM on the third Sundays of each month in 2012.

Mark your calendar and save these dates if you are seriously interested in the proposed project. Without enough support and the right people, the project would be delayed.

Related to expectations or non-attachments, this is not a meditation event nor is it a study group. At some of the events, you may meet only a couple of Buddhists because not all of them feel the need to mention it. They are serving the community as members of the leadership team and as social entrepreneurs as well. This is a general networking event to connect Buddhists with everybody else in the community to build One City. This is an opportunity to make new contacts who share similar spiritual interests. Some of the co-organizers are creative Buddhists and sometimes other Buddhists show up. Please do not come with the expectation of meeting many Buddhists. In fact as Buddhists, please practice non-attachment and non-judgmental.

There will be a table for all those interested in more joy and spiritual development. The Organizers are looking to build a management team for the real estate already reserved for a possible one-of-a-kind Buddhist/Devotional Nonduality/ACIM/wellness center in Downtown DC. Introduce yourself to the co-organizers if you are interested and have the time to help plan this new Spiritual Center project. The land and building already exists. This is an opportunity to act as a Buddhist not just talk about it. This is also not for discussing Buddhism, it is for making in-person contact for possible followup sessions.

The format at this event is spontaneous and the content is created by the participants who show up. Please do NOT come with any attachments or fixed expectations on how this alliance event will be played out or who will show up in what form. Just BE a "Buddha" and enjoy being an unique expression of Enlightenment. Come to serve and share in response to people interested in what it means to be a Buddhist or how to develop a new "best practices" path for new Buddhists.

When enough people are willing to serve the community and indicate that intention to the co-organizers, then more special focus Buddhist oriented meetings could be planned to followup. Meanwhile it is great to have this opportunity to connect with others with similar interests at these ongoing 3rd Sunday events. There is no charge for the event, however, donations to the nonprofit organization are tax deductible and are greatly appreciated. This will not be what you expect and your Buddhist perception and skills will be challenged. This is an opportunity to include at least a Buddhist in our vision for One City.
