Spunky Springtime Bike Ride on the Amherst Bike Path

For those of us not training for the Roswell Ride, let's get the bikes out of storage. We will ride to Mississippi Mud for a burger and fries. Then retrace our steps back to the trailhead hopefully burning off some of the fast food. All levels of ability and types of bikes are welcome. Let's have fun!

DISTANCE - 20 miles give or take a few.

SPECIFY TERRAIN - mostly flat, well maintained path.

SPECIFY PACE - moderate 12-15 MPH

SPECIFY OVERALL TRIP DIFFICULTY - Easy

SPECIFY REQUIRED GEAR - any kind of bike will be fine, preferably one with gears will make the ride more comfortable; water; pump; tire repair kit

If you find that you are unable to meet up with us tonight, please change your rsvp to no so we do not wait unnecessarily. Thanks!

I am going to try to make it. I have an appoint before, so it is tenuous...

Laura and everyone else - This is the biking map of Buffalo. T stands for trailhead, and the green dots are bike paths. Find the T at Maple and Forest and you can follow it west to see where we will ride. We follow Ellicott Creek and go through Tonawanda Laura, you will enjoy this adventure! Probably few of us have been out this season. btw - I wear a helmet but since you're of age, do what you want.

Susan - Can you meet us somewhere along the route? We could pick you up. Or, meet us at Mississippi Muds at a time to be determined. I could give you and your bike a ride back. We could figure out something.

Curious how the bikepath goes. I never went this far, but I'll give it a try. Be kind to me-- I'm a novist with bikes.
