First Monday Electronics

It's First Monday Electronics OPEN LAB! We're open to the public. Non-members are encouraged to come down and check out the space, learn electronics and microcontrollers.

UPDATE: We'll do a group on Arduino and a group on learn to solder. If you would like to learn the Arduino. If you bring this kit with you and a laptop. We'll show you how to get it running: http://www.amazon.com/Starter-Kit-Newsite-Uno-Breadboard/dp/B0051QHPJM/ref=sr_1_4

If you've got that kit or a basic Arduino. This kit is a good next step for learning electronics and interfacing to the Arduino: http://www.amazon.com/Arduino-Sidekick-Basic-Kit-Version/dp/B007B14HM8/ref=sr_1_7

great evening! Thank you all for coming out and sharing your projects. Several people learned to solder for the first time, some started up an Arduino for the first time, some have started ambitious projects, all very cool.

I've been working on the Arduino lessons on the "Learn Arduino" part of the Adafruit website. Am up to lesson 5 which if I recall is about serial communication. So far just learning - no grand projects in mind.

Coming back after being unable to participate for a while. It will be a first visit to the new location. I do have an arduino kit that I will bring in.

I bought and LCD module and DMX master shield for my arduino, made by Tinkerkit. They were on sale at Radio shack. My plan is to set some stuff setup or at least start and have questions when I see you guys. Thank you for all of your help last week :)

Hi Sarah That's very cool. I'll bring in a couple of LCD displays too and some neopixels. Sounds like we're talking serial communication.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
