UPDATED: if you would like to learn how to use the Arduino. We recommend you order this one from Amazon:
or bring this one from Radioshack
This will be a meetup for anyone interested in electronic circuits, microcontrollers, and learning more about how electronic things work. It will be held the first Monday of each month.
If you already have a laptop and an Arduino (or compatible microcontroller), bring them and we will find things for you to learn. I'll help explain, too, but the best way to learn is to do.
If you don't understand what I just said about an ada-whosie-whatsit, show up and I can show you what a microcontroller is, how circuits work, and how to make things blink!
Here's the best part... To force myself to stay on top of this event, at the end of the night, we will group-think assignments for people that want to go further. This means every month you show up, you get to help decide the topics for the next month. Then at the next meetup, everyone who took on an assignment can show it off (and maybe even explain the circuit/code/build process).
