St Patrick's Day Parade

What: St. Patrick's Day Parade

Cost: Free

Details: Let's go and watch the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, a Buffalo tradition.  The parade starts on Delaware Avenue (near city hall in downtown Buffalo) and ends near the intersection of Delaware and North Streets.   After the parade ends, everyone packs the bars for a couple of beers.

Dress: Remember to wear some green and also dress for the weather - this is outside and it may be a little chilly since it's only March!

Parking: Good luck!  Parking is painful on this day so be ready to walk or else arrive super early.  Obviously Delaware Ave. is closed so you'll have to park on a different street.

Meeting Spot:  Let's meet at the Holiday Inn Buffalo (Delaware Ave near North Street) at the front door or inside the lobby.  There's a Walgreens next door to the Holiday Inn.

Other than being abandoned by a fine group of people at the end, a few of whom I bought green beer for, it was great fun! There were awesome {wailing} bagpipes, Irish dancers, good people, and great fun. Richard was kind enough to offer a ride...not sure why last-minute ride solicitors didn't accept. Cold, but nice in the sun. Over all, saw perhaps 30-40 old friends...good times.

Oops. Sorry John. Dont worry, we still love you. Gave the extra beer to a homeless guy so it didn't go to waste.

So fun! The parade felt like it went on and on but only because there were some big gaps in the middle. Thank god for multiple layers of clothes and some sunlight to keep us defrosted. Oh and the 'beverages' didn't hurt either - thanks John.

Heads Up For those who may not know
The Parade ends at North St. You are NOT going to be able to park in the Holiday Inn Parking Lot. You may want to be down somewhere on Elmwood, Oakland (Off Summer between Delaware and Elmwood. The later you arrive obviously the further you will have to park.
The good news is on the way back to your car you are able to witness a plethora of passed out individuals on lawns.

Sorry guys I don't think I'll be able I make it. Going to meet up with friends before hand and I'm afraid traffic is going to be too crazy to find my way there on time. Looking forward to the next one!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
