So I know this is short notice but this Sunday is going to have great weather for walking or hiking! Lets decide in two days which we will do. We can either walk around Niagara Falls New York side or go orienteering (Chestnut Ridge, Hunters Creek or Emery Park). I am setting this up for the morning so it will not interfere with a soccer meetup that was planned. We are going to Niagara Falls to walk!
At Niagara Falls, we will park at the Aquarium and walk along the lower Niagara river to the falls. Then we will walk over to Goat Island walk around to Three Sister’s Island and head on back to the aquarium. I will be at the aquarium parking lot at 9:00 am. From there we will cross over the foot bridge and walk along the river till we get to the falls. We will continue to Goat Island and Three Sisters Island and then head back. This should take a couple of hours (we will stop for pictures or just to enjoy the views along the way) so bring plenty of water and you won't have to pay for it!
For orienteering we will have to decide which park we would like to visit (Chestnut Ridge, Hunters Creek or Emery Park). I will then give a brief talk about how to orientate the map. People may have to purchase a map at Hyatts as I have only two. They are about $7. Some of us have found about 12 control points at Chestnut Ridge and it would be nice to finish what we started!
So if you would like to do either of these, RSVP and state which one you would like to do (as well as which park). The most votes wins. Regardless of who signs up I will be going to do one of these two things because Sunday looks like a great day! WINNING!
