Niagara Falls Winter Festival of Lights and Rink at the Brink

I love going to Niagara Falls during Christmas time. The lights are wonderful. This year I want to also try out the ice skating rink there as well. We'll walk from the US side to the Canadian side of the falls through the festival of lights to the outdoor rink. We'll ice skate for a little while then head back. We can grab a bite to eat somewhere along the way if we choose.

Here is more information on both attractions:

Festival of Lights

Enjoy the Ontario Power Generation Winter Festival of Lights, Canada’s foremost illumination festival in our country’s most famous address – Niagara Falls – as we capture the magic of the holiday season.

Visit the TD RINK at the Brink – the open-air, outdoor ice skating rink located a snowball’s throw from the “brink” of the Horseshoe Falls! It offers breathtaking views and a magical outdoor Niagara Falls ice skating experience.

Date may change due to level of interest.

Let's move this to a Friday night in January. They still have the fireworks then too.

Well those who don't want to ice skate can go a little further up the hill to the Skylon tower and either catch a 3d movie, go see the view from the top or get something to eat there. There is also a food shop near the ice rink as well. Something for everyone! ;-)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
