Classic Board Games & Cards Night

Ahoy, Amused Readers!

N4B along with their brethren group Pittsburgh Geekdom is the new home of Tenenbaum Game Closet - Pittsburgh's only games club not too cool for old school. We wanted there to be a meet-up group that celebrated the classic games of yesteryear - Scrabble, Risk, Go and especially chess and the like as well as the old school card games played at lake houses and rainy days at the beach. There will be no judgement on the number of sides to the die you prefer to roll... but here's to kicking off another well intended group for the betterment of our greater souls... a words with friends, n'at - as the kids say, IRL.

Cheers!

Afraid I have to bow out of this one. Too much going on today. Really hoping to make it to the next one!

Changed to 7 p.m. Coffeehouse opens at 6, I am told the grilled cheese is really good. They also have baked goods. I am more partial to the Apple cheese and cracker plate.

My parents used to play scrabble and if cracking 200 is good than they were. I hover was in Jr. High so cracking 50 was good for me. kinda lost interest. Hate is a bit strong. Though I would like to play something that is fitting with the theme of classic. And is available. I would like to play some sort of cards honestly.

No one should have to play a game they hate. No fun in that! Whatever's there is fine with me.

I didn't realize this meetup was super close to my house, can't make it to this one, but will definitely come to a future game night.

I hate scrabble and will have to see if the church has it. I can bring mine if they don't. We played Clue this week, so sorry, that is out.
