Join us for a dineout at Little Szechuan on University Ave in St Paul. This restaurant makes authentic spicy Szechuan food, and is quite veg-friendly. Vegan(-izable) dishes include Ma Po Tofu, Pea Tips with Garlic, Szechuan Style Fried Tofu, Bamboo Tips in Chili Sauce, and many more.
If you're afraid of heat, there are dishes on the menu which can be made hot pepper-free, though you'll be missing out on the proper Szechuan experience.

Sonja B+1 guestThe food was good, our table ordered way too much so a little planning about group meals would have been good. Also I didn't like that there were two seperate tables, I would have preferred to have the group more together although not sure how to accomplish that at this venue. However the conversation was plentyful and informative as well as entertaining!
