Take Back the Night Calgary 2013

Forwarded event:

Join us for an empowering evening as we speak out and march against gender based violence. The event features local speakers and performers, followed by a march through downtown Calgary to symbolize a woman’s right to walk safely at night. After the march a speakout will be held where participants may share their experiences with violence.

Please bring your signs, drums, glow sticks or anything that draws attention!

This event is open to everyone, men and children included. If you are thinking about bringing children, please remember the subject matter is intense and can be graphic.

During the march, it is traditional that women walk through the streets unescorted. Men and older boys are welcome to show their solidarity by walking on the sidewalk alongside the women.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
