Hello Friends,

With spring just around the corner, we anticipate the arrival of all things green springing back to life. Why not herald the coming of spring by kicking up your heels and attending our St. Patrick’s Day Potluck Dinner? Children are always welcome.

Prepare something GREEN – a savory or sweet dish. Then come and savour a little taste of the Emerald Isle and indulge in a bit of Irish fun. Oh, and remember to wear something GREEN to avoid getting pinched by a leprechaun!

With Irish Luck* in abundance, who knows, you might just find that pot of gold!

Unfortunately I couldn't attend the potluck as I was at my youngest daughter's side in the Peter Lougheed Hospital emergency ward. Manu was brave enough to handle the potluck by himself and luckily I had made some dressing the day before. He packed up some vegetables and the dressing and left for the church. I am proud of Manu and all of you for helping to set up, decorate, host the evening and especially for helping undecorate, wash dishes and help him pack up so he could rejoin me at the hospital later. I want to especially thank Marilyn Bedwell and her accomplice for creating such a beautiful plate of food for me. It was a welcome surprise when Manu picked me up later that evening and every morsel was delicious! Thank you for saving some food for me. ;-) You are truly a community that has gellled. Even without me "the show will go on". That's good to know. Thank you for all your support. We hope to see you soon at the Spring Celebration Potluck on April 1st. Love and Hugs, Diana

This was a first for me to host the potluck event by myself because Diana spent most of day with her youngest daughter, Aleesha, who was hospitalized after suffering severe abdominal pains. I am glad to report that Aleesha is on her way to a swift recovery.

The event was a success because everyone including the newcomers pitched in when it came time to decorate and clean up after the event. A big thank you to everyone!

I loved the variety of raw food served and once again, I seem to gravitate towards the desserts and I was not disappointed. I will be posting the photos in a few days.
