May Full Moon Pisgah Hike!

Join us for a night hike under the light of the full moon!

Pisgah is fairly steep, but the trail is broad and not too rocky. Bring water and dress in layers. Headlamps or flashlights come in handy when it ends up being cloudy. The 3-mile roundtrip hike takes about 1.5 hours, including some dawdling at the summit.

Meet at the trailhead, at the upper end of a long, tiered parking lot. Email me with questions, and I will do my best to provide honest and accurate information.

I'll be leading this hike monthly, rain or shine. Hope to see you there!

Hi Trish, I came across this recurring event and wanted to check in with you. I work at Mount Pisgah Arboretum, and I know that Lane County Parks only allows folks to hike from dawn to dusk. There are ways to get events like this to be "legit" with the Parks staff--astronomy groups do it all the time, for example. Drop me a line at my work email, [masked], so we can look for ways to keep this event from getting "busted" for illegal after-hours use of the park! --Katura

I am planning on taking my dog on the hike (on leash). She doesn't get along great with other dogs, so if you are bringing them, I would appreciate them being on leash. Otherwise, Shyla and I can just hike behind everyone, not a big deal.

Wow, looks like we've got a good group of hardy folks signed up for tomorrow night's "moonlight" hike. If it's anything like tonight, you're going to want to pack some raingear! Also, please note that the hike starts promptly at 9pm, so plan to be there at 8:45 for introductions and gearing up.

    See you there!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
