Join us for a night hike under the light of the full moon! Since this month's full moon falls on a Saturday, I'm hoping to get some folks willing to start at 10pm, when the moon will actually be overhead (and therefore lighting up the trail, if not obscured by clouds).
Pisgah is fairly steep, but the trail is broad and not too rocky. Bring water and dress in layers. Headlamps or flashlights come in handy when it ends up being cloudy. The 3-mile roundtrip hike takes about 1.5 hours, including some dawdling at the summit.
Well-behaved, leashed dogs are always welcome.
Meet at the trailhead, at the upper end of a long, tiered parking lot. We'll leave right at 10:00, so plan to be a few minutes early for introductions and a quick head count. If you're late, come on up...you'll run into us at some point!
Email me with questions, and I will do my best to provide honest and accurate information. I'll be leading this hike monthly, rain or shine.
Hope to see you there!
