Wallowas: East Eagle-Imnaha Backpacking

We will backpack a very scenic yet lightly traveled part of the Wallowas mountain range. If you haven't had any exposure to high Alpine granite dominated scenery (Yosemite, Alps etc) you will be blown away with this beautiful location.

Day 1 - 9m Car to Hidden Lake

Day 2 - 9m Hidden Lake - Eagle Cap Summit - Mirror Lake

Day 3 - 3m - Mirror Lake to Glacier Lake -- Explore Glaier Lake

Day 4 - 8m Glacier Lake to Trail Junction 1816/1885

Day 5 - 5m Trail Junction 1816/1885 to Crater Lake

Day 6 - 5m Crater Lake to Car

This a multi-day and difficult trip and I will be quite picky choosing the group. I may t also cancel the trip if minimal hiker numbers are not met.

Duration: 6 days 5 nights.
Rating: Very Difficult
Distance: 45 miles.
Elevation gain:[masked] feet. (depending on our side trips)
Hiking time: 7-8 hrs/day
Hiking pace: Slow/Moderate.
Driving distance: 500 miles One way;
Parking Permits: Yes and free/

Bring: Ten essentials, Backpacking essentials(Tent, Sleeping Bag, sufficient food etc), non-cotton clothing, trekking poles, Rain Gear, bear can, wading shoes, waterproof shoes.

Cautions

1. Long trip with lots of ups and downs.

2. Thunder Storms are are common.

3. Cliffs and exposure.
