Hello everyone,

I may or may not be able to accompany this weekend but I have mountain biked the entirety of this trail a number of times and find that the best place to set in that would accomodate a 10 mile hike would be at Trail Bridge/Carmen Smith Reservoir. ?Three miles above that is the Tamolitch Blue Pool where the McKenzie upwells out of the ground. ?The only way to describe how brilliant the blue is, is that it looks like a truck load of Flushes2000 was dumped in it. ?Definitely worth seeing. ?You won't see the river for another 3 miles since it disappears into lava. ?Geological speaking, very cool!! ?About 6 miles from Trail Bridge will get you to the back side of Koosah Falls and 1.5 more miles will get you to the backside of Sahallie Falls, Sahallie being a bit more impressive. ?This portion for an approximate 10 mile hike is the most scenic on the entire trail to Clear Lake. ?The McKenzie Ranger Station right past McKenzie Bridge sells a nice map of the
?Mckenzie River Trail for under a dollar. ?If I don't see you, have fun.
