Hi everyone and welcome to all new members,

I received this email recently (see below) and am passing it on to you for your information.

Have a great week and send your best snow vibes to Vancouver before the opening ceremonies!!

Dear Fran,

I'm writing to introduce myself as well as share some
interesting content regarding the upcoming Olympics and begin
dialogs on how I can help your group.

My name is Sean Mitton and after starting a regional Canadian
Expat group in North Carolina 6 years ago, I went on to create
the Canadian Expat Network. My objective is to promote Regional
group events, provide Canadian stories and news, webinars,
videos and a unique social network based on our commonalities.
I recently completed a survey with Canadian Groups in the US
and would be pleased to share more after the Olympics.

With that in mind, I just came back from Toronto and there's
certainly an Olympic buzz.

I'm aware a number of Canadian Expat Groups are planning for
Olympic events and thought I'd share a few things that could
help in promotion.

The Canadian Olympic Committee's "Paint the Town Red" has some
great poster downloads for events and I've also included some
video interviews that you can choose to share as content
promotion. You can find more Olympic articles and videos here.

Also, all Canadian fans have an opportunity for a Team Canada
Olympic Jersey Giveaway autographed by Jerome Iginla. Sponsor
Heritage Hockey is also offering a $20 savings on Olympics
Jersey's. Registration is free by filling out a profile at
Canadian Expat Network. One entry per person. Deadline February
12th, 2010 (Opening Ceremonies). No purchase necessary and all
current CEN members are automatically registered.

Learn more at

There are a couple of other Olympic related articles that I
will share in the next couple of weeks and I look forward to
future dialogs.

Go Canada!
