The Oregon Medical Marijuana Growers and Patients Association

Presents the Oregon Cannabis Cup

Onsite realtime sampling and voting by OMMP paitents

MONTHLY
THIRD FRIDAY every Month 11am to 8pm

at the Farmers Medical Marijuana Market

730 W. 7th Ave Eugene 97402

Next cup is OCTOBER 18th

Our Cup Is Simplicity Itself

All participating OMMP patients are potential voters! Participants sample as many of the available medical marijuana preparations as they like and are allowed a maximum of one vote for each sample tested.

For example:

Voter Bill samples strains A, B, C and D. Bill likes "C" the most and casts three votes for "C", but Bill also likes strain "B" and casts one vote for "B". Any combination of votes that Bill could have cast would have been acceptable for up to four votes. If Bill samples more strains he may cast more votes.

All sampling will be done by the double blind method; that is to say, neither the tester nor the volunteer assisting will know who the grower is nor the name of the strain. Only the organizer will know which is which. The three to five top strains with the most votes will be recognized and their growers will be ordained the Oregon Medical Growers and Patients Association's Top Medical Growers for September 2013. Then we do it again in October, November, December, January ….

Costs:
Yes, it has to be reimbursed. Sorry.
The first $5 gets you in but it also gets you your first sample strain.
The second $2 gets you your next sample strain.
The third $2 gets you your next sample strains.

OMMP Patients may sample as many as desired and vote a max of equally many times.

Growers:
Samples must be submitted by October 13th to give the crew time to prepare for the double blind sampling method to be used in the competition.

Winners will be awarded our prize which is an annual glass Cup with the month, and the winners name and strain engraved and enshrined at the Market

Growers, Patients and Caregivers just come as you are with your valid OMMP card and your valid ID. NO ONE will be admitted without a card (or paperwork if card has not arrived. Sorry no exceptions.

All volunteers will be appreciated.

Thank you and see you there!

I will not be able to attend the Cup today as I do not have transportation yet. Unless anyone is in the Sweet Home area and wouldn't mind car pooling. I can be reached at [masked].
    Thanks, Have a great time!

    I recommend bringing Music instruments along. . . {I will}
In case we become inclined to kick-it after partaking of samples.

I am a patient and grower. I guess because I am a patient I don't have to pay but since I am also my grower I guess, in some patients concept, I don't have to pay me. I have patients I care for like family. Why else would a crippled man spend all day growing for others if it was for $ I wouldn't do it. I grow because of compassion. And no, I have never turned anyone away due to compensation.

I am a patient/grower and although I have strains such as Shiskaberry, cheesequake, godbud, Amsterdam, and many other strains that can no longer be obtained, I would NOT bring down more meds for patients who think growers should absorb ALL the expense of growing. I don't feel if they (the patient) does not grow and never have what right do THEY have to judge my work and PAY YOU? If they don't want to pay thier grower then I as a grower refuse to bring my top quality meds for these same ungratefully greedy patients to consume and judge. I would like to be involved but I am tired of patients not reading the OMMA paperwork about reimbursement.

Reimbursement is optional...YOU should read the paperwork. Either your in this movement on principle (you believe in it and want whats best for patients FIRST) ... or...your just doing it for $$. Bring your "best" & see what we think...we are the patients. We are supposedly the reason you do what you do, correct?
