This is the last event of my 3-Day Lunar New Year Meetup Marathon. And how could I do a series of Lunar New Year events without including food?! So much food is consumed during this time of the year (for me anyway). The following is the event schedule:
A) 11:00 am - 1:00 pm; Dim Sum @ Dim Sum King (421 Dundas St W), followed by Bubble Tea & Board games at MODO Fruit & Tea House (482 Dundas St W)
B) 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm; Chinese Cultural Heritage Day at the Royal Ontario Museum, followed by dinner afterwards at a nearby restaurant. More details regarding the ROM event can be found here: http://www.rom.on.ca/en/activities-programs/events-calendar/chinese-heritage-day
You do not need to attend both events. You can choose to attend just dim sum or just the ROM event. I am aware that most of you just want to come for dim sum and bubble tea, but those who also want to visit the ROM will split from the group at about 1:30pm.
*** Normally I do not allow non-members to attend my events (because of seating limitations, greater control over the event, etc.), but for this special meetup, you can bring up to one (1) guest if you wish (just make sure to indicate in your RSVP). So, if you know anyone who is interested in joining The Toronto Cantonese Language Meetup Group, but is hesitant, bring him/her along to this event. Prospective members can then learn more about the group. Also, I’d like to hear suggestions for events that you guys would like to see in the New Year ***
