With September 21st marking the start of fall, September's theme is The Fall of Empires - games set during battles, campaigns or wars which ended an empire or a nation's hegemony over its neighbours - Zama, Kursk, Saratoga, Waterloo, Leipzig, Plataea, and so on. As always, the theme is merely a guideline for play - you can always play any wargame or consim you prefer - the idea behind the theme is to get people to play games or explore eras or systems that they might not otherwise.

We will be playing in the parlour of Forest Hill United Church, located at 2 Wembley Road, just north of Eglinton on Bathurst Street. Look for paper signs posted on the doors to guide you to the room. When you approach from the parking lot, go to the doors on your left, not the main doors into the sanctuary.

Plenty of parking is available in the streets next to the church and you may also park in the lot if there are spaces available. To get to the church by TTC, take the #32 bus east (if coming from Eglinton West station on the University line) or the same bus going west (if coming from Eglinton station on the Yonge line). Both buses run frequently. Get off at Bathurst and walk one (short) block north on the west side of Bathurst.

There is no admission fee, but a small donation to the church's property committee is appreciated.

To honour the twin national celebrations of Canada Day and Independence Day, April's theme is AMERICA! - Games which are set in North, South or Central America - any time period or scale. April's theme is Victoria Regina - Games which highlight warfare involving the British Empire in the Victorian era (1837 CE to 1901 CE). Go through the doors, upstairs, turn left and go down the hall to the end. We usually occupy both rooms in that space.
