Bailey Canyon, 3AIII (FOR CANYONEERING STUDENTS!)

Nice beginner friendly canyon!

So, you've taken the 3-day Technical Canyoneering Course and haven't had a chance to get into a canyon yet? .. Well, LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN!  Join me in this beginner friendly canyon which involves a nice hike up a mountain on a well-maintained trail, and a descent of a canyon which has 12 rappels and down-climbs ranging in height from 25' to 110'!!!  The canyon should be dry this time of year, though our feet might get wet.  January in the local mountains is likely to be chilly, so be brave and dress accordingly.

RSVP priority will be given to graduates of my Technical Canyoneering Courses who have not yet done this canyon!

REQUIRED GEAR:  You MUST have a harness, a helmet, 3 locking carabiners, a safety-tether, a rappel device and a 48" footloop to attend this event.

Read the beta:  http://www.dankat.com/advents/bailey.html

Directions: "To reach the trailhead, drive north through Sierra Madre (on Baldwin or Michillinda) to the east/west street, Grandview. Then drive east from Michillinda or west from Baldwin and turn north onto Grove. Grove runs directly into the small Bailey Canyon parking lot [masked]'N[masked]'W and elevation 1120ft). Park here. "

Hi Klaus, have to forego bailey :( I fell a few feet today when downclimbing at CCC. Thank goodness no broken bones but got scraped up and bruised my left hand. Now I can't really bend my left elbow too well. Gonna rest up. Until next time.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
