Many, off and on for the last 8 years - a few in North Wash (Hogs, Shenanigans), a couple in Escalante (Full Neon), most of Zion (RFNC, Fat Man's, Imlay, etc.), AZ (Crystal, Cibeque, etc.), many in Death Valley (Purgatory, Typhon, etc.), almost all of the San Gabriels (see Brennen's website), some in the Venturas.
Hi Kirk! Welcome to the Little Italy & Downtown Film and Art Cabal! Besides joining any of the meetups that come up...please feel free to create your own greater dowtown-area film or "arts-related" happening, at at any time. It could be as simple as an event you're going to that you're open to others joining you in...or it could be something more complex. So if you have an idea...post it! ;) I look forward to meeting you at a future meetup! ~ Robb
Welcome to the San Diego Mountain/Trail & Road Biking Group Kirk. Our calendar of rides is updated constantly, so check in when you can and join us for a ride that fits your skills level. Also check out our message boards under "Discussions", where you'll find biking tips and discussions on a wide range of bike related subjects. This group's success is thanks to our members.
Cat and I are going up early to take care of some biz we couldn't get to last time Lytle. See you at the first drop or we'll leave rope and set up the second, if that's OK. (very short distance between the two). Let me know if this presents a problem--we'll have 150' + 150'--Caryn may join us for carpool if she wants to rouse herself early. If I see that ranger, I'm gonna flash my IGWP--Inter-Galactic Wilderness Permit--it has no limits, zero, zip , nada, zilch. You knew that.
Couldn't post a reply on the meetup for Lytle. Too many replies?Group limit is 12. We could still break the group up into two and include Brenda--I'm willing to do Bonita or Lytle, big group or small. We could always get another permit in person after 8:00am--but that ranger is something to deal with. Bonita does not require permit. Whatever the pan-american, inter-continental grand master wants!
Hey Kirk, glad to see you heading to AZ. I was able to clear my schedule last minute so I'm hoping to head out there this Thursday. It's been TOO LONG since we've done a few canyons in the San Gabes. What canyons are you planning on doing in AZ? - AJ (from Los Angeles)
What I'm hoping to do is hook up with some fellow canyon peeps to get my feet wet and learn about what gear to buy and what steps to take to get more serious about this sport. My main sport is whitewater kayaking. The SW drought is killing me. I haven't been in my boat in awhile. Anyway, that's a little about me. I appreciate your advice on getting started.
