Skeptical Thinking Track at BaltiCon

Once again the Maryland Regional Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention (BaltiCon) allowed NCAS to submit four presenters for their Skeptical Talks Track.  Balticon runs from May 24-27 in Hunt Valley, MD.  Here are the Skeptical Talks details:

ST-1. Conspiracy Theories Friday, 7:00 PM, Salon CPresenter: Bruce Press(50 minutes)
Bruce Press is very involved with the Skeptics community, including in areas ofconsumer protection in alternative medicine and some areas of paranormal research. He hassome interesting information to share about various conspiracy theories.

ST-2. To the Fringe and Beyond Saturday, 11:30 AM, Salon CPresenter: Tom Bridgman (50 minutes)
An exploration of some ideas in astronomy that started out as legitimate hypotheses, but failedsome important tests. These ideas survive today in the world of fringe and crank science.

ST-3. Close Encounter in Baltimore, MD Sunday, 9:00 AM, Belmont RoomPresenter: Paul Carr (50 minutes)An Investigator’s Perspective of UFO Case[masked], a Close Encounter in Baltimore, MD

ST-4. A Skeptics Tour of Washington DC Monday, 12:00 Noon, Salon CPresenter: Marv Zelkowitz: (50 minutes)What are the skeptical highlights within our nation's capital?
