Another great summer outdoor activity - Total Body Stretch!
The stretch routine that I used throughout my martial arts competition career (I'm a former member of the Canadian National Karate Team) helps increase flexibility throughout your total body. It will wake up muscles you didn't even know existed within your own body!
Many of these stretches can be used as warm ups and cool downs for ANY sporting or exercise activity that you do.
Is it effective in increasing flexibility? YES, that is me pictured above.
The routine I take people through is SAFE and just as if not more effective than any yoga routine out there in terms of flexibility training. It is also geared for all levels from beginners all the way to serious athletes.
And now you get to try it out ... for FREE!
You will be exposed to the SAME stretches I used for my own competition training (and still use today as part of my overall fitness program).
Near the end of the session, I will even show the more advanced and flexible folks my OPTIONAL power stretches that will increase flexibility even greater.
We'll meet before it gets too hot in the morning at Marie Curtis Park which is on the border of Etobicoke and Mississauga and start with a short 10 minute walk along the lakefront before we begin our Total Body Stretch session, which will take about 30 minutes itself from head to toe.
Bring a towel or yoga mat if you don't want to be right on the grass.
After the stretch session, depending on interest, we can continue socializing with a brunch somewhere.
Remember, this is a FREE session conducted by a former Canadian National Karate Team member so don't complain if it is not located closer to your area - it's worth travelling a bit for.
