The bottom line purpose of a resume is to get an interview. Your profile on Linkedin becomes your calling card, providing a quick snapshot of your professional background and experience.
You'll need a summary of your professional experience and specialties, your photo, and your current status with comments from your network.
Also helpful: list of positions you've held and your major accomplishments, educational institutions, language/certificates you have, and professional recommendations.
Before you create your profile, think about what you want to accomplish. Here are some tips:
Set a goal for what you want to achieve (a job? Clients? Online presence?)
Make a list of keywords related to your experience, education, and job descriptions.
Most just scan your profile, so you need to capture their attention quickly.
Will go into more about building your Linkedin profile at the session.
by the way, I took my own photo in my bathroom and can tell people on the day of the meeting how I did it with my digital camera
Hi Hilda, I think your profile is strong and probably stronger in its focus than my own. I do believe that it might be stronger to keep bullet points to one line -- as I believe some of the information can be simplified. I think your profile has similar issues to my own. Sometimes when you have done so many things, people are left wondering what is your real strength.
